Dry Cleaning ‘Album of the Year’ show
My album of the year was Dry Cleaning’s ‘New Long Leg’. It was also Rough Trade’s Album of the Year. As is customary, Rough Trade had arranged an in-store. It’s great to see the band get the recognition they richly deserve. Unfortunately, the show, like many, was cancelled before Christmas. Rather inconveniently, Rough Trade rearranged the show for a lunchtime. I hadn’t realised it was a lunchtime gig until somebody mentioned it to me. Luckily I managed to get time off work. As expected, the gig didn’t disappoint with them playing a full show set. Making it worthwhile dragging myself into London on a work day.
