Bo Ningen and the Savages ‘sound poem’ followed by Sin Fang

Two of my favourite bands on the same stage. What could be better? Actually, very little. Tonight’s performance wasn’t the bands playing their own album music but a piece where both bands created a tonal poem using each of their own styles and vocals to reflect back and forth tonal ideas. Although it started slowly, once the piece got going, it was amazing to watch. Especially as I was lucky enough to get in the centre between the two vocalists as they spared across the ‘u-shaped’ stage. I really hope they do this thing again. But then, maybe the strength of the piece is that it was a one off.

After the gig, I dropped by Hoxton Square and caught the tail end of Sin Fang.
