Douglas Dare and the London Ambient Orchestra

Ell Kendall has been a great supporter of Daylight Music. He also writes some fantastic music. So I am always happy to support his concerts. Tonight, was potentially a challenge for me. I offered to photograph the event without knowing the line up. When I realised it was the orchestra supporting Douglas Dare, I was not expecting to enjoy the event. I have previously found Douglas vocals have not worked for me. However, what an amazing surprise. This was a special evening. Tonight, in the beautiful Stone Nest, I saw the beauty in his vocals. Ell’s orchestration combined with Douglas’s vocals to create a sublime evening of music.

I love when music surprises me. Tonight reminded me to always give artists a second chance. While they grow and change. I also grow and change. My knowledge and experience of music continues to expand and grow. Things I didn’t like a few years ago, I now like. After tonight’s concert. Douglas has a new fan.
