Night Swimming

I had a day off work and as I was over this part of town, I thought I would drop in for the album launch from Night Swimming at Rough Trade West. I can take or leave shoegaze. I need at least some of the songs to head off into a more trancy or psychy territory and break up the one pace nature of many shoegaze bands music. Night Swimming didn’t break away from the tried and tested formula. It was pleasant to listen to but I overheard somebody say that all the songs sounded similar, and it was hard to disagree.
