NOTS

NOTS were one of my highlights of The Great Escape and produced one of my favourite albums in 2015. So I was looking forward to catching a full NOTS set

Opening the evening was ES. I really didn’t enjoy this set. I didn’t like the singer’s voice and the performance lacked any real conviction. I hoped they took around for NOTS to see how it’s done.

Next up were Monster Treasure. I thought they were pretty good. I’d definitely try and catch them again.

Closing the evening was NOTS. Playing garage rock with attitude, scuzzy guitars and aggressive vocals. They’re everything the first band weren’t. Everything seemed raw and they play like they mean it. I thought tonight’s gig lacked a little bit of the energy they had at Sticky Mike’s, but they were still very good.
