Best gig:
Rockaway Beach turned out to be a pretty decent weekend with some great performances, so Butlins wins!
Best new band:
It’s a difficult one this month. The Telescopes and The Membranes were a surprise. The Big Moon showed their potential, and Ghostpoet were as good as expected. But I think I’ll give a joint award to The John Knox Sex Club and The Band of Holy Joy who both put in great sets at Rockaway Beach.
Albums of the month:
- Macbeth Soundtrack – Jed Kurzel
- Dark Matter / Dark Energy – Membranes
Best photo:
I seem to have been to lots of gigs with a good camera with me and opportunities to grab some decent photos. But I think this shot of a young fan of VANT is probably the photo that stands out the most.
