PINS (and the Growlers)

I’ve been trying to catch PINS for what seems like an age. Every time they play London I seem to already have something on. So I took the opportunity to see them in a support slot at the Village Underground. I wasn’t disappointed. I was really impressed. They’re good value for money full of enthusiasm and good songs. Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to see them again in a headline slot.

‘Support’ for the gig was a band called the Growlers. The crowd seemed to lap them up. Me, I thought their music was dull. In fact, I thought they were a novelty act and I felt like I was waiting for the punchline. After a few songs, I’m afraid I gave up. Not for me. But they clearly have a devoted following.
