I’m a big fan of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Karen O’s ballsy stage persona is a big part of that. So I think most people were surprised when Karen release the personal and intimate DIY ‘Crush Songs’. An album showing Karen’s more emotional side with songs written when she was at a low point in her life. It’s a lovely personal album. Stripped back from a Yeah Yeah Yeah’s show. Tonight’s gig felt equally as personal.
