Organ Reframed

My first time back at the Union Chapel since before times for their Organ Reframed series. Disappointingly, the Chapel decided Daylight Music could no longer use the space on a Saturday afternoon (not that they have actually done anything with the space since then). I have to admit, I miss my afternoons photographing in the Chapel and I was looking forward to tonight.

Tonight’s concert featured pieces by Anna von Hausswolff, Abul Mogard and Ipek Gorgun. Each piece used the Chapel’s glorious Henry Willis to the full. All three pieces were great. But I especially liked Anna’s work that built into a glorious sound, pushing the dynamics of the organ and the Chapel.
