First acts announced for Rockaway Beach 2027

Rockaway Beach, the festival that provides my annual heady mix of cold sea air, music inspiration and slot machines, catapulting me into the new year, has announced its first set of artists. Headlining Bultins this year will be The Charlatans. I have so much time for Tim. His listening parties helped me deal with the isolation during the early part of lockdown. Getdown Services, and The Twilight Sad, are certain to feature prominently on the bill. Returning to the festival after one of the best ever Rockaway Sets, are SPRINTS. For those even older than me, Cockney Rejects will bring the nostalgia. The next big thing from Ireland, Madra Salach, will bring music from their amazing EP, ‘It’s a Hell of an Age’. Amongst the other artists announced today, Lemonsuckr, who almost certainly will be one of the buzziest bands at the Great Escape in a few weeks time, are ones to watch. A very good booking by the Rockaway team. As usual, the undercard is full of new interesting bands to keep us away from the slot machines during the day.
