Hertford X Tees

Given that I’m a Teessider. I felt it was pretty important to make the effort to go to this special event taking place at the Beam in Hertford organised by Hertford Quarter (run by George Ezra and his sister). This is a part of a series of events bringing artists from other regions down to Hertford to record in his studio and play the Beam. Tonight’s event features Amelia Coburn, Jodie Nicholson and The Young’Uns. All the artists are folk or alt-folk and it was an enjoyable evening. I think it was maybe a missed opportunity to bring a more musically diverse lineup to Hertford, but I George should be applauded for what he’s doing here. This is a great example of an successful artist putting something back into the wider music scene and also supporting his home town.
