Sleeper at the Horn
It’s rare that I spend a Saturday evening at the Horn, as they usually fill put on cover bands and fill the place out, helping to pay for the other music nights. But tonight, the place was very rammed for a stripped back set from Sleeper.
There is something endearing about the reformed Sleeper. Three friends who seem to really enjoy playing together and telling stories about the highs and lows of their time together, and their experiences during the 90s.
Tonight was an entire evening with Sleeper. Two sets featuring stripped-back songs from all their albums, with an interval so we could top up our drinks and submit questions for a Q&A they held, before their second the set. It worked really well. Even though we might have heard some of the stories before, the fun they have telling them means you still enjoy them. I just love watching a band who seem really happy to be there no matter the size of venue.
