The Wedding Present

The Wedding Present returned to Club 85. While I’m not a particular big fan of the Wedding Present, I have grown to like them more as years have passed. When I younger, I was more into heavy rock than jangly indie. In some ways they bypassed me. But their t-shirts were everywhere and I had friends who listened to them. The band is very much David Gedge with regularly changing band members. Most recent change is guitarist Rachel Wood who I thought was excellent. While I’m not their biggest fan, the Wedding Present have an impressive back catalogue and had more than enough songs to keep me entertained.
