The Lovley Eggs

One of those evenings where you see three different approaches from bands with a similar ethos. In this case all bands had a ‘DIY’ low-fi ethos but the headliners, The Lovely Eggs were the band the other two must learn from. They’re full of energy, and really engaging with audience. The kind of qualities you need for that sound. The other two bands lacked the same energy level and could definitely do with raising the performance level by a notch or two.

Dogs Legs supporting The Lovely Eggs at the Lexington
Dogs Legs – need more energy and a proper drum kit. Playing on a kids drums, the sound was too thin. They also broke half way through the set.

Charla Fantasma supporting The Lovely Eggs at the Lexington
A rather poor Charla Fantasma – little bit too ‘DIY’ for my liking.
