The daytime parties are a great way of catching lots of extra bands. But there’s also a good chance that the performances may not be the best. Some bands, are night creatures. But the Thermals, despite the warm weather and ungodly hour (early afternoon) put in a really energetic performance. So, I thought I’d give them a chance when they played London and was really pleased I did.

Although I don’t really know their stuff, only owning their most recent album, as most their songs come in at under 3 minutes and are all full of low-fi indie energy, it was going to be a fun gig and everyone seemed to enjoy the night.
