First band of the evening were an excellent Sarcasm.

Not Sorry were up next and frankly they should be. Absolutely tosh. I would suspect that at the end of the year they’ll be on my list of worst bands.

Sauna Youth were the reason I was here. I’ve seen them once before several years ago and I’ve been trying unsuccessfully to see them again. Their last album was one of my favourites of last year. So it was good to catch up with them.

East End Live

East End Live was a new mini-festival spread over a number of venues in Shoreditch. On the day timings didn’t go to plan. But it’s a new festival so you have to expect teething problems. The line-up was pretty good. But the better known bands were in the larger venues. But I’ve learned from SXSW you’ve got a better chance of seeing bands if you stick to the smaller venues. Unfortunately, with the poor timings, I missed some of the bands I wanted to see, but it was still a good day. Skinny Girl Riot and Shopping were the highlight. But most bands were pretty good.
