I’ve seen them a few times and they’re a good live band. So off I trotted with them for a lovely afternoon of music at the Apple Tree pub for ‘Meet the Folks’ 20th birthday party. In all honesty, I felt like a bit of an interloper, having never been to any previous ‘Meet the Folks’ events. But I was really pleased I decided to go along. It was a great few hours of music, featuring a range of different music styles. From the R&B sound of Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, indie from Steve James Adams, the rocky Danny and the Champions of the World, and the country sounds of Applewood Road. Each band had their own charms, greatly helped by a lovely atmosphere in what was quiet a tiny venue.
