Daughter

I’ve missed Daughter. I did have a ticket to see them last year. However, I couldn’t make it. Since then they keep clashing with other gigs. So I was pleased to finally have the chance to see them.

Opening the evening was Alex Burey. A young guy with a guitar. It was all a bit bland.

I really loved Daughter’s first album. Tonight they mixed old with material from their new album. At first listen, the new material fitted in well with the rest of the set. But I didn’t feel it moved them long greatly from the first album and to be honest, I felt like the material sounded better on record than live. Disappointing as I really love their albums.
